Pretty in print! Emmy Rossum makes the most of her toned pins in thigh-skimming floral dress and patent grey brogues

Emmy Rossum distanced herself from her Shameless character Fiona Gallagher on Monday, when she stepped out in a very stylish ensemble.

The actress flashed her trim pins in a thigh-skimming floral look as she ran errands in West Hollywood, before making her way to the Showtime set.

The 27-year-old left her long tresses down in a natural wave, as she carried a tiny black satchel on her shoulder.

The brunette beauty's thigh-skimming dress came complete with black trim, and large matching flowers along the front.

Her figure looked perfectly toned in the sleeveless design, which was teamed with patent grey brogues.

She injected some colour thanks to a slick of pink lipstick, while the rest of her make-up remained natural.

Later in the day, Emmy shared a photo with her cos-tars while displaying a much more low-key look which included silver hoops and a grey Tee.

She captioned the snap: 'Set life. Dermot sandwich. Repost from @alessandrabalazs #SHAMELESS', while stood next to Alessandra Balazs who plays Jackie Scabello.

The beauty also told her followers: 'Just made hummus from scratch and it's perfect. This is my biggest accomplishment today. #proud'.

The actress, who is just as famous for her witty Twitter musings as she is for her boldly portrayed television character, recently had fun recalling a mishap concerning her legs while on-set.

'I was wearing shorts in a scene on #Shameless yesterday and realized I missed a whole spot while shaving my legs. #oops', but fortunately she found a solution to the problem in the form of 23-year-old co-star Jeremy Allen White, who plays her brother.

'Jeremy Allen White plucked each hair out 1 by 1 w/ a pair of pliers that Fiona and Lip were using in the scene to do home repairs #shameless,' she went on.

Is Stuart Weitzman For Sale?

Not long after it was announced that Steve Madden acquired footwear company Dolce Vita, it has been revealed that another shoe brand might be up for sale.

According to Reuters, Sycamore Partners has hired bankers to sell Stuart Weitzman, which it acquired in its $2.2 billion buyout of Jones Group Inc. earlier this year.

Sources that spoke to Reuters said that Stuart Weitzman could fetch about $800 million, but as WWD pointed out, that number could be much different if Weitzman, who is in his early 70s, decides to stay on with the company through the sale. If he doesn't stay on, it is expected that the brand's valuation could drop to below $500 million.

This wouldn't be the first time ownership of Stuart Weitzman has changed hands. The footwear brand was sold to a European firm in the 1970s, and was later bought back by Weitzman before he resold the company to Jones Apparel Group (later renamed The Jones Group Inc.) in 2010 for $180 million.

Goldman Sachs is rumored to be leading the current sale with an assist from Citi. In addition to e-commerce sites in a number of markets, Stuart Weitzman also has 44 stores in the U.S., 61 international locations and 10 international shops-in-shops.

Earlier this summer, it was announced that Stuart Weitzman had tapped Gisele Bündchen to be the face of its fall 2014 advertising campaign. The advertising campaign, which was shot in New York by Mario Testino, depicts what the Stuart Weitzman brand believes it means to be sexy - being confident and comfortable in your own skin.

"With her lithe physique, bronzed skin and tousled golden locks, Gisele personifies the confidence, empowerment, beauty and ease women feel the moment they slip into their Stuart Weitzman shoes," a press release said.

Find your perfect slit skirt

Put your best leg forward in a sexy stem-baring pencil skirt. InStyle magazine offers advice on how low — or high — can you go, according to the look you're after.

Demure: Prefer to reveal just a hint of skin? Pick a midi style with a center slit that's sliced no more than 4 inches from the hem. Wear with a structured shell now, and a chunky knit sweater, come fall.

Seductive: You're going for a look that's cheeky but not too obvious. Choose one with a zipper, and pair it with a button-front blouse. You're in control of how much to reveal — on the top and bottom.

Racy: Create your own Angelina-at-the-Oscars moment in a hip-hugging style with a sharp diagonal slit, hitting anywhere from mid-thigh to upper thigh. This is for play, not work — so consider this on date night only, ladies.
